this is not easy to answer...i listen to hiphop / rap, because i'm feeling it. then i started to read everything about it...and i fell in love. you have to go back to the 60s to understand it.

alot of people listen it for a few years and then change their mind. because it was cool at school to listen to rap etc.

i mean, why do people listen to stuff like korn, him, backstreet boys etc.? because they're feeling it.

I think we have come to a point in society where there is no distinction between who is in that demographic. These days you can find someone from almost every background that can either relate to or enjoy some form of hip hop. So I suppose the answer to your question is anyone.
