that the people from the rock forum get annoying when they put rap or rock in the rap or hip hop forum and they think rock is the best and that rap sucks but they never really know what real rap is cuz they r so retarded cuz they watch mtv or the radio and they never heard of underground rap if they have a problem then they should stay on their own forum and talk about their music

Its true, people used to think Rock 'N' Roll was Noise Pollution, now people say the same thing about Hip-Hop. However, the old saying for rock can be used for rap because "Corporate Rock Sucks" and so does Corporate Rap
i really don't care if a LOT of ppl hate hip-hop b-cuz they don't like that, or don't understand this music, but, it's soooo annoying read those comments from haters.

Rock and Rap have a lot of crossover material, the early years of Rap saw a huge influence from the rock world (think beasty boys, tone loc, run DMC, the guitars all feature heavily don't they?). I think the problem is that a lot of modern stuff on either side, is a bit lame.

P diddy is absolute crud, but then so is Nickleback. A REAL rock band is someone like the Foo Fighters who ooze talent, and for me, I have way more respect for people like Missy Elliot on the rap scene because it's the music thaat drives her, not all this guns, ho's and drugs that seems to drive the mainstream rap industry.

I think it's a shame that there is such a bias now to this mainstream rap that is, lets face it, pretty meaningless. Whatever happened to people rapping about stuff that matters, or indeed, just using your talent to make music.

As far as Iam concerned good music is good music, regardless of genre. I feel sorrry for anyone who closes their mind to experiencing different things - in this case those who refuse to recgnise other music genres.

As for Hiphop, if anyone who claims to be into Hiphop culture and rap in particular disrespects other musical forms then they are the most ignorant people of all. I say this for the simple fact that Hiphop artists have never been afraid to blend other genres and give it a Hiphop twist. Right back to the 70's when Hiphop records had a disco vibe.

The fact is that Hiphop and Rock have very similiar histories - from their roots of creation by poor black Americans to becoming corportate cash cows.
This is such a good question? Why do they do this? I don't go to the rock forum and talk about how much I hate whatever they listen to...I mean, if you dislike a certain type of music, God (or whatever Higher Being you ascribe to) gave you the free will to turn the damn radio station! Nobody is forcing you to listen to hip hop...so turn the station and go to a different forum...
