Who will become hip-hop legends in the future...out of the new artists, like Baby Boy, Hurricane Chris, Shawty Lo, Joell Ortiz, Papoose, etc? You can pick any names in the hip-hop game, though, not just the ones I named.
Out of the newer people in the hip-hop game, who will turn into legends?graphics for myspace
Papoose(probably), Joell Ortiz maybe if he keeps it real, Though I'm not his biggest Fan maybe Lupe Fiasco, Reef the Lost Cauze, Brother Ali + A few more Chicago MC's.
I don't think that IMO any of the Southern Rappers are legends outside their own illiterate communities.
I think that if the US keeps producing crap like that then Worldwide Hip Hop will be the Real winner in the end.

Common.
Peace, Me
I think they will all most likey be one hit wonders like sisqo. People like Lupe F., Kanye W., Common, Cassidy, Bow Wow, Trey Songz will all claim there place in history probaly.
Papoose, Playas Circle, I think Glasses Malone has the potential, Chamillionaire...I can't think of anymore right now. Most of the rappers right now either have no skill, are one hit wonders, or will probably not have the limelight for long despite their talent.
Alot of people are naming Common but he's been in the game for a while... He's already considered a legend in my eyes. I think Plies is gonna be around for a while...
As for new cats i'd go with Little Brother, "Blu", and Lupe if they could actually get some play on the radio. ( I know little brother isn't really new, but their just so underrated)
Common dropped his first album in 1992, 16 years ago. How does that qualify as "newer?"
The whole game has changed now. How do you define a legend? Most of the people who are talented enough and can drop enough quality material won't move enough units for most people to consider them legends. And most of the people who can move units aren't talented enough.
A guy like Blu has all the talent and charisma in the world to be a legend, and he's my favorite new emcee. But I don't think most people are going to remember him as a legend, unfortunately.
wtf, hurricane chris? there is no way that guys like that can turn into legends!
more like lupe, kanye, common, mos, nas, jay-z.
common jay-z and nas dont count, they're not one of the "newer" artists and they're already legends IMO
out of the newer artists, kanye would definitely be a legend unless he messes up in the future. i cant think of anyone else out of these new cats who are mainstream. blu should definitely be a legend, but i dont think he'll breakthrough into mainstream hiphop anytime soon. if lil wayne stays as hot as he is now, then unfortunately he probably will be a legend too lol
Papoose should definitely make it big. I would like to see The Game, but who knows? I can't wait for Shyne to get out. I think he has a lot of potential. 50 cent even wanted him! Lots of talent out there, but few I think who could reach Legend status.
most likely lupe
not hurricane chris, kanye, or plies (he's just another 50 cent)
lupe fiasco
FnF up!
Bishop Lamont...yea thats just that some ppl just didnt recognize Common Sense until he did the Chocolate Water album...as far as the folk that u named i mean u could have pick a better group...I mean Pap and Ortiz...but Shawty Lo and the rest...u may as well put Souljah Boy...lol
Razah, Flo Rida.
Flo rida's new and he's already pulled in artists like t-pain and timbaland to work w/ him.. and his album isn't even out yet
